In the residence permit application, she marked her citizenship as “Georgian” and stated that her (then valid) Georgian passport had been issued in 1998 by the Georgian consulate in Moscow.

In the meantime, on 11   September 1992 and on production of the court order, the British consulate issued a new passport to the applicant recording her new name and her sex as female. 24.

The court granted the request and decided that the witness in question be heard through the consular office.
