Matyushkin, the Representative of the Russian Federation at the European Court of Human Rights. 3.     The applicants complained, among other matters, about the conditions of their pre-trial detention in Russian penitentiary facilities. These complaints were communicated to the Government who submitted their observations on the admissibility and merits. The observations were forwarded to the applicants who were invited to submit their comments. No reply was received to the Registry’s letters. 4.     The applicants were subsequently notified by registered mail that the period allowed for submission of their observations had expired on and that no extension of time had been requested. Their attention was drawn to Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention, which provides that the Court may strike a case out of its list of cases where the circumstances lead to the conclusion that the applicant does not intend to pursue the application. However, no response has been received. THE LAW 5.     The Court considers that, in these circumstances, the applicants may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue their applications, within the meaning of Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention. Furthermore, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 in fine , the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and its Protocols which require the continued examination of the cases. 6.     In view of the above, it is appropriate to consider their applications in a single decision and to strike the cases out of the list. For these reasons, the Court unanimously Decides to join the applications; Decides to strike the applications out of its list of cases.   André Wampach   Khanlar Hajiyev   Deputy Registrar   President Appendix     No Application No Lodged on Applicant Date of birth Place of residence Represented by   51000/06 29/01/2007 Rustam Anatolyevich FILICHKIN 06/11/1985 Stavropol     16615/07 15/08/2007 Sergey Nikolayevich MELNIKOV 08/08/1974 Soldato-Aleksandrovskoye     23919/07 11/05/2007 Stepan Valeryevich GABYSHEV 21/07/1981 Yakutsk Alena Anatolyevna ROMANOVA   28207/07 03/05/2007 Ruslan Ramilovich YAKUPOV 26/12/1974 Belebey     36438/07 22/06/2007 Dmitriy Vladimirovich SHAVKUNOV 23/02/1976 Izhevsk     53756/07 12/10/2007 Sergey Borisovich FAYZULKHANOV 26/08/1969 Vladivostok     2396/08 20/11/2007 Magomed Vakhayevich SADAKIYEV 19/01/1976 Stavropol     12367/08 11/01/2008 Vitaliy Andreyevich GRITSENKO 02/12/1979 Evensk     30048/08 21/05/2008 Sergey Vitalyevich FAN-BEN 14/06/1974 Barnaul Lyudmila Yakovlevna CHERNETSKAYA             48610/09 19/08/2009 Yaroslav Vladimirovich VERESHCHAK 01/07/1988 Solikamsk                 48618/09 19/08/2009 Talgat Ramazanovich MINSHAYEKHOV 19/10/1978 Solikamsk               48621/09 19/08/2009 Sergey Alekseyevich ZYRYANOV 07/04/1977 Solikamsk               48626/09 19/08/2009 Nikolay Yefimovich RYGALIN 13/06/1962 Solikamsk               51099/09 02/06/2010 Yuriy Vladimirovich PAVLOV 14/11/1966 Grafsk               54036/09 16/09/2009 Artem Olegovich PESTRIKOV 14/01/1990 Solikamsk               54038/09 01/08/2009 Ivan Andreyevich KOZLOV 28/07/1986 Solikamsk               54040/09 16/09/2009 Vladimir Aleksandrovich CHAZOV 13/11/1983 Solikamsk               54042/09 16/09/2009 Anatoliy Aleksandrovich SHIROKOV 07/11/1980 Solikamsk               21663/12 22/05/2012 Aleksey Vitalyevich SOLOVYEV 08/08/1991 Magadan               34566/12 22/05/2007 Sergey Vasilyevich KOVALENKO 16/01/1979 Rubtsovsk               7349/13 03/09/2012 Aleksey Aleksandrovich ZHURAVLEV 01/12/1978 Krasnodar    Citations
