The applicants’ complaints under Article   6 § 1 of the Convention concerning the excessive length of civil proceedings were communicated to the Italian Government (“the Government”), who submitted observations on the admissibility and merits. The observations were forwarded to the applicants, who were invited to submit their own observations. Between 23 and 26 May 2016 the Registry sent a letter to the applicants inviting them to submit any comments which they may wish to make in reply. Between 13 August and 28 September 2016 the Registry received these letters back with an annotation by the Italian Post Office that the respective addressees were “unknown”. No change of address has been communicated to the Court. THE LAW Having regard to the similar subject matter of the applications, the Court finds it appropriate to examine them jointly in a single decision. In the light of the foregoing, the Court concludes that the applicants may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue the application (Article   37   §   1   (a) of the Convention). Furthermore, in accordance with Article   37   §   1 in fine , the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto which require the continued examination of the applications. Accordingly, the cases should be struck out of the list. For these reasons, the Court, unanimously, Decides to join the applications; Decides to strike the applications out of its list of cases. Done in English and notified in writing on 8 December 2016.   Hasan Bakırcı   Robert Spano Deputy Registrar   President APPENDIX No Application No Lodged on Applicant Date of birth Place of residence   41255/09 13/07/2009 Vincenzo MINELLI 01/04/1943 Sant’Anastasia   49259/09 27/07/2009 Raffaele MARZULLO 16/11/1945 Naples   66791/09 16/12/2009 Antonio IORIO 03/08/1957 Marano di Napoli   45464/10 29/07/2010 Antimo SCOGNAMIGLIO 27/09/1951 Naples   20353/11 23/12/2010 Pasqualina MOSCATO 30/10/1920 Naples Giuseppe COLACE 23/11/1960 Naples Anna Maria COLACE 16/06/1959 Naples   22183/11 04/03/2011 Domenico FIORE 17/02/1955 Poggiomarino   24898/11 22/03/2011 Luigi CONZA 04/01/1954 Vitulazio  Citations
