The applicant was represented by Mr V.V. Lavrov, a lawyer practising in Moscow. The applicant’s complaints under Article 5 of the Convention concerning house arrest and belated review of house arrest orders were communicated to the Russian Government (“the Government”), who submitted observations on the admissibility and merits. The observations were forwarded to the applicant, who was invited to submit her own observations. The Court’s letter came back on 20 April 2018 as “unclaimed”. On the same date the Registry sent a letter to the applicant, informing her that the Court’s letters did not reach her representative. The applicant was requested to inform the Court whether she was still represented by Mr   Lavrov and whether his address had been changed. No reply was received to this letter. By letter of 2 January 2019, sent by registered post, the applicant was requested to submit the information referred to in the Court’s letter of 20   April 2018 by 20 February 2019. The applicant was informed that the Court may strike an application out of its list of cases where the circumstances lead to the conclusion that the applicant does not intend to pursue the application. The letter was delivered to the addressee on 11   January 2019. No response has been received. THE LAW In the light of the foregoing, and in the absence of any special circumstances regarding respect for the rights guaranteed by the Convention and the Protocols thereto, the Court, in accordance with Article   37   §   1   (a) of the Convention, considers that it is no longer justified to continue the examination of the application. Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list. For these reasons, the Court, unanimously, Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases. Done in English and notified in writing on 19 December 2019.   Liv Tigerstedt   Alena Poláčková Acting Deputy Registrar   PresidentCitations
