The applicants were represented by Mr A.B. Vologin, a lawyer practising in Volsk. The applicants’ complaints under Article 6 § 1 of the Convention concerning the excessive length of proceedings were communicated to the Russian Government (“the Government”). THE LAW In the present application, having examined all the material before it, the Court considers that for the reasons stated below, the complaints raised by the applicants are inadmissible. The applicants complained about the length of criminal proceedings against a third party. The Court notes that the proceedings neither concerned a criminal charge against the applicants, not touched upon their civil right or obligation, as the applicants did not join the proceedings in question as a civil party and did not lodge a tort or any other claim of civil nature within those proceedings. Having considered the nature of the proceedings in question, the Court finds that the applicants did not bring contentious proceedings touching upon their civil rights falling within the scope of Article 6 of the Convention. It follows that the application is incompatible   ratione   materiae   with the provisions of the Convention within the meaning of Article 35 § 3 of the Convention and must be rejected in accordance with Article 35 § 4 of the Convention. For these reasons, the Court, unanimously, Declares the application inadmissible. Done in English and notified in writing on 23 June 2022.     Viktoriya Maradudina   Darian Pavli   Acting Deputy Registrar   President APPENDIX Application raising complaints under Article   6 § 1 of the Convention (excessive length of proceedings) Application no.
