He was represented by Ms K. Mikhaylova, a lawyer practising in St   Petersburg. The applicant’s complaints under Article 8 of the Convention, taken alone and in conjunction with Article 14 of the Convention, about the State’s alleged failure to comply with their obligation to respond adequately to discriminatory statements, as well as under Article 13 about the alleged absence of an effective domestic remedy, were communicated to the Russian Government (“the Government”). On 7   March 2024 the applicant’s representative informed the Registry that the applicant had died. No heir has since expressed an interest in pursuing the case. THE LAW In the light of the foregoing, the Court concludes that the applicant’s heirs do not wish to pursue the application within the meaning of Article   37   §   1   (a) of the Convention. Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list. For these reasons, the Court, unanimously, Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases. Done in English and notified in writing on 11   July 2024.     Viktoriya Maradudina   Lorraine Schembri Orland   Acting Deputy Registrar   President  Citations
