The applicant was represented by Mr S. Yıldırım, a lawyer practising in Zaventem. The application concerns the alleged abduction and disappearance of the applicant’s father on 29 December 2020 in Ankara. On 4 September 2024, the applicant’s complaints under Articles 2, 3 and 5 of the Convention were communicated to the Turkish Government. By a letter dated 23 October 2025, the applicant’s lawyer informed the Registry that the applicant wished to withdraw her application before the Court, as her father, who had previously been believed to be missing, had reappeared after going into hiding. THE LAW In the light of the foregoing, the Court concludes that the applicant may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue the application (Article   37   §   1   (a) of the Convention). Furthermore, in accordance with Article   37   §   1 in fine , the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto which require the continued examination of the application. Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list. For these reasons, the Court, unanimously, Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases. Done in English and notified in writing on 12 March 2026.     Viktoriya Maradudina   Stéphane Pisani   Acting Deputy Registrar   PresidentCitations
