J. and Ms S. M. are Iranian nationals, who currently live in Azerbaijan. The second applicant is the first applicant’s wife. They had been at first granted a refugee status in Azerbaijan. Recently national courts ordered the removal of the applicants’ refugee status and their expulsion. The first applicant is complaining under Article 3 of the Convention that in the case of his expulsion to Iran he would be subjected to ill-treatment by the Iranian authorities.
