In 2002 criminal proceedings were brought against the applicant on account of the content of a number of articles contained in issue no. 107 of Hedef, a periodical published in Turkey. In 2010 criminal proceedings were terminated as the prosecution became time-barred. The applicant relies on Article 10 of the Convention. QUESTIONS tO THE PARTIES 1.     What is the role of the applicant in the publication of the articles in issue no. 107 of Hedef which were the subject-matter of the criminal proceedings in the present case?   2.     Has there been a violation of the applicant’s right to freedom of expression, contrary to Article 10 of the Convention, on account of the criminal proceedings brought against him before the Istanbul State Security Court and subsequently the Istanbul Assize Court   under section   7 § 2 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act (files nos. 2001/215 and 2007/340)?   The Government are requested to submit a copy of the documents in the case files, including reasoned judgments and decisions rendered by the first ‑ instance courts and the Court of Cassation.
