They complain that they were discriminated against by the Serbian authorities, based on the relevant legislation, by being denied certain financial awards, monthly payments and a formal recognition of their achievements, unlike all other athletes and chess players, including sighted chess players and other blind or otherwise disabled athletes or players, with the same or similar international accolades.   The applicants brought their discrimination claims before the civil courts, including the Supreme Court of Cassation, and, ultimately, the Constitutional Court, but did not obtain the redress sought.   QUESTION TO THE PARTIES Have the applicants, as blind chess players, suffered discrimination in terms of their reputation or pecuniary situation or in the enjoyment of a “right set forth by law” compared to other athletes and chess players, including sighted chess players and other blind or otherwise disabled athletes or players, with the same or similar international achievements, contrary to Article 14 of the Convention, read in conjunction with Article 8 thereof or Article 1 of Protocol No. 1, or in breach of Article 1 of Protocol   No. 12?
