Following the couple’s divorce, the parents shared parental responsibility, the mother was awarded custody of the children and the applicant was granted contact rights with his children. According to the applicant, the mother opposed, in practice, any contact between father and children, claiming that the children refused to accompany him anywhere. The applicant argues that the mother has been alienating the children from him in a clear attempt to sever any relation between him and the children. Relying on Articles 6 § 1 and 8 of the Convention, the applicant complains that the domestic authorities failed to assist him in his efforts to see his children. QUESTIONS TO THE PARTIES Has there been a violation of the applicant’s right to respect for his family life, contrary to Article 8 of the Convention? In particular, have the authorities (bailiff’s office, police, domestic courts, and court-appointed psychologists) provided sufficient assistance to the applicant for the enforcement of the court decision granting him contact rights with his children (decision no. 11266 of 14 November 2016, by the Braşov District Court)?
