The domestic courts extended the applicants’ pre-trial detention without giving them the possibility to reply to the investigating judges’ written observations and without hearing the applicants or their representative. QUESTION TO THE PARTIES Having regard to the Court’s case law (see Nikolova v. Bulgaria [GC], no. 31195/96, 25 March 1999, and Idalov v.
