Having regard to fact that public hearing held at first instance, to role of Court of Appeal, to nature of issues submitted to it – which included no questions of fact or law which could not be adequately resolved on the basis of the case-file – and to minor character of offence, special features existed to justify absence of public hearing on appeal.
