Belgium (communicated case) - 54795/21   Article 14 Discrimination Ban on full body swimsuit (burkini) in municipal swimming pool: communicated The applicants are two Muslim women complaining about the ban on wearing a full body swimsuit in a public swimming pool. Finding that the ban amounted to discrimination on grounds of religion, they applied to the courts in 2017 to have it set aside, in particular challenging the relevant municipal regulations.
