Slovakia - 36570/97 Judgment 13.9.1999 [Section II] Article 6 Civil proceedings Article 6-1 Reasonable time Length of civil proceedings: friendly settlement The case concerned the length of civil proceedings which the applicant brought in 1989 against, inter alios , the Czechoslovak Railways, seeking damages in respect of non-payment of sickness payments. The final judgment in the case was given in 1995 and was served on the applicant in October 1996.
