The application was accompanied by a request for the adoption of an interim measure to prevent the Turkish Constitutional Court from ordering the dissolution of the AKP ( Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi – Justice and Development Party).   On the same date the Registry of the Court informed the applicant that it had decided not to adopt the interim measure requested under Rule 39 of the Rules of Court.
