Bulgaria (application no. 68334/01) The applicant company, “Agromodel” OOD, is a limited liability company that has its registered office in Ruse (Bulgaria). Under Article   6   §   1 (right to a fair hearing) of the European Convention on Human rights, it complained in particular about the domestic courts’ refusal to examine its claims for damages, brought against the prosecutor’s office, on the ground that it had not paid the court tax. Violation of Article 6 § 1 Just satisfaction: 6,000   euros   (EUR) (non-pecuniary damage)   Georgi Yordanov v. Bulgaria (no. 21480/03) The applicant, Georgi Angelov Yordanov, is a Bulgarian national who was born in 1978 and lives in Varna (Bulgaria). Sentenced to life imprisonment for aggravated murder, he complained under Article   8 (right to respect for private and family life and for correspondence) of the Convention, about the recording of a meeting with his lawyer. Violation of Article 8 Just satisfaction: EUR 1,000   (non-pecuniary damage) and EUR   1,750 EUR (costs and expenses)   ***   These summaries by the Registry do not bind the Court. In that event, a panel of five judges considers whether the case raises a serious question affecting the interpretation or application of the Convention or its protocols, or a serious issue of general importance, in which case the Grand Chamber will deliver a final judgment. If no such question or issue arises, the panel will reject the request, at which point the judgment becomes final. Otherwise Chamber judgments become final on the expiry of the three-month period or earlier if the parties declare that they do not intend to make a request to refer.Citations
