In their observations, the Government informed the Court that all of the applicants had died before communication of the cases.

Their father died on 27 November 2003, allegedly from pneumoconiosis [1] . The facts of the case, as submitted by the applicants and according to the case file, may be summarised as follows.

Erkut Direkçi died in Germany on 12 December 1997.

    His wife died on 7 April 2000, leaving him with two children born in 1995 and 1997.

    Some of the applicants died after the institution of the proceedings before the Court and their heirs (see the appended table below) wished to pursue the applications in their stead.

In particular, the babies born in Vukovar in 1990 and 1993 had been taken to a hospital in Novi Sad in Serbia, where they had allegedly died, whereas the baby born in Vukovar in 1994 had allegedly died

    His wife died on 7 July 1999.

On 21 June her condition deteriorated rapidly and on 22 June 1992 she died.

By letters of 7 May 2012 and 15 June 2012 the Government notified the Court that the Mr Milomir Šejić, Mr Petar Perović and Mr Borivoje Đurašević had died on 26 February 2002, 12 April 2003 and 30 October

On 21 August 2008 the applicant died.

On 13   January   2011 Mr Szegedi died. Subsequently Mrs Szegedi declared her intention to proceed with the application. A.

He died on 22   February 2007. On 5   March 2007 the applicant’s widow expressed the wish to pursue the application in her late husband’s stead.

    By letter of 11 November 2024, the Government informed the Registry that the applicant had died on 14 June 2023.

    The Government requested revision of the judgment of 9   February 2023, which they had been unable to execute because Mr Vasile had died before the judgment had been adopted.

    The Government requested revision of the judgment of 17 November 2020, which they could not enforce because the applicants had died before the judgment was adopted.

According to the first one, M.G. had died as a result of acute heart failure brought about by low body temperature while opinion no. 23 stated that V.G. had died as a result of hypothermia.

    On 26 August 2014 the Government informed the Court that they had learned that one of the applicants, Mr   Andrei-Grigore Alexandrescu (“the second applicant”) had died on 16 November

    On 19 October 2006 the authorities issued a death certificate according to which Mr Togonidze had died of tuberculosis. 14.
