Their pension amounts were then adapted: for the same length of contribution, the pension paid to the applicants was thus reduced to the same level as that of a pensioner under the ordinary scheme.

It thus considers it appropriate to address this point in its examination of the merits of the applicants' complaint under Article 2 of the Convention (see paragraph 79 below). II.

This had also led to the protraction of the proceedings. They relied on Articles 6 § 1 of the Convention.

They further requested the Court to strike out the application in accordance with Article 37 of the Convention.

Finding that this should be done at first instance, they referred the case back to the County Administrative Board.

In this respect, it had to be observed that the domestic courts had not taken a position on the above-mentioned regulation. Nor had the Government put forward any good reason for this interference.

    The owner of the apartment opened the door to the police patrol. The applicant claims that he was violently pulled from the bed by the police and alleges that they pushed him around.
