(5) In any case he must be permitted to consult a solicitor within 36 hours from the relevant time, as defined in Section 41(2) above.

He replaced the barracks guard Kaplan with Tuncay at 13.20 hours. Tuncay was to stay on duty from 13.20 to 16.20 hours. The witness then went   to the canteen.
