The applicant died on 12   February 2004. His parents, Zlata and Jože Podmiljšak, elected to pursue his application before the Court and were also represented by Mrs   Nosan.

By letter of 5 January 2001, the applicant’s son, T.G., informed the Court that the applicant had died on 2 December 2000 and that he, one of the applicant’s heirs, wished to pursue his father’s application

The applicant’s wife died in 1998, aged 37 years. The applicant is the administrator of his wife’s estate.

The applicant’s wife died on 9 July 1998. On 23 July 2000 the applicant applied to the Benefits Agency for the payment of social security benefits.

The applicant received a pension as a dependant of her son, Mr Vladimir Babinyan, who had been a clean-up worker at the Chernobyl nuclear accident site and who died in 1998.

By letter of 22   May   2003, the applicant’s daughter, I.K., informed the Court that the applicant had died on 12   January   2003 and that she wished to pursue the application in

The third and second applicants died on 13 October 2008 and 19 February 2009, respectively. There is no evidence that any heir or close relative has expressed the wish to pursue the application.

    By a letter of 15 June 2012 the Government notified the Court that the applicant had died on 15 February 2010 that is before the applicant’s representative had signed the declaration on friendly

  34909/12, Ms Yakhita Dadayeva, that her husband, Mr Rizvan Israilov, had died on 12 February 2019.

    On 21 March 2013 the Government informed the Court that they had learned that the applicant’s brother in application no. 34770/09 had died on 12   July 2009.

On 31 July 2004 D.G. died in hospital. On 30 September 2004 the public prosecutor rejected the criminal complaint against D.G. due to his death.

The applicant’s wife died on 1 February 1997. On or around 7 June 1997 the applicant applied to the Benefits Agency for the payment of social security benefits.

  Particular circumstances of the case     The applicant is a widower, his wife having died in March 1998. He cares for the two children of the marriage.

Meanwhile, at 3.45 p.m. the applicant was taken unconscious from his cell back to the hospital wing before being hospitalised in Warsaw where he died on 25 October 2001.

    The applicant, Mr Stephan Schmutz, was a Swiss national, who was born in 1981 and who died on 16 April 2013. He was represented before the Court by Mr R.

During the investigation an autopsy was performed and a relevant report established that K. had died of hanging.

On 23 June 1993 A.O. died. The following day an autopsy was carried out; it was again noted that A.O. had sustained injuries all over his body and the cause of his death was given as a stroke.

  15245/05 informed the Court that he had learned that one of the applicants, Mr İsmail Erdoğan, had died on 25 September 2009 and that his heirs wished to pursue the application.

On 17 April 2007 the Coroner, after having established the circumstances of the boy’s death, found that the applicant’s son had died from the burns to his body.

    Following the communication of the case, the Government informed the Court that the first applicant, namely Mr İshak Doğan had died on 5   October 2016. 7.
