In their observations submitted on 18 May 2023, the Government informed the Court that the applicant had died on 7 February 2022.

    On 5 December 2013 the applicants’ legal representatives informed the Court that they had learned that one of the five applicants, Mr Halil Esen, had died on 22 April 2011 and that his wife

Aside from that, he told me that one of his children had died at birth and another had died seven days after birth. He said that he and his wife had been having problems with their families.

    On 6 June 2008 the Frankivskyy District Court in Lviv terminated the pending criminal proceedings against I.M. given that he had died.

The applicant's stepmother died in 1955 leaving her real estate to the applicant, and conferring the succession rights of her deceased sons on the applicant.

On 5   January 2005 K. died. According to the applicant, on 18   August 2004 K. sold the flat to M.

He was informed that his son had died in a clash with the police on 25 November 1993 and that his body had been buried.

The applicant is a widower, his wife having died in June 1996. He cares for the three children of the marriage, born in 1988, 1989 and 1994.

The applicant’s wife died on 8 February 1991. On 11 January 2002, the applicant made a claim for widows’ benefits.

The applicant’s wife died on 19 August 1999, leaving one child born in 1970. In April or May 2000 the applicant applied for widows’ benefits.

The applicant’s wife died on 31 August 1990. On 13 August 2001 the applicant applied for widows’ benefits.

The applicant’s wife died in 1997, aged 26 years. The applicant is the administrator of his wife’s estate.

  On 22 June 2001 that letter was returned to the Court’s Registry, along with a note stating that the applicant had died.

       On 30 September 1994 the applicant died.

The first applicant died in 2020. They were both represented before the Court by Mr   M.   Gębicki, a lawyer practising in Chełm. 2.

The applicant’s wife died on 19 January 1987, leaving four children born in 1972, 1973, 1976 and 1979. On 12 May 2000 the applicant applied for widows’ benefits.

The applicants are the parents of Frixos Aresti (“F.A.”), who died at the age of thirty-eight following a car accident which occurred on 12 December 2011.
