The application concerns the death of F.B., who died in a work-related accident, and the complaints raised by his wife and two children under Article   2 of the Convention. 2.

His wife died in 1998, leaving him as the administrator of her estate.

        On 10 February 1997 the Government informed the Commission that the applicant had died in January 1997.

    The Court notes that the applicant died on 5 December 2022, while the case was pending before the Court.

On 11 October 2004 the applicant’s wife, Mrs Maria Wahl-Mugeńska, informed the Court’s Registry that the applicant had died on 23 December 2002.

Shortly afterwards, K.N. died. On 17 November 1998 the applicant brought an action against K.N.’s heirs before the Sofia District Court, requesting the court to declare the contract final.

His wife died in 1998.   On 23 July 2000 Mr Atkinson applied to the Benefits Agency for social-security benefits.

On 24   September 2011 Kan. died. On 18   October 2011 the flat was registered as vacant.

He died of a heart attack in Kosh prison (Armenia) on 20 January 2009 while serving a sentence for fraud, falsification of documents and tax evasion.

On 29   April 2020 the Government informed the Court that on 17   March 2020 they had learned from Mrs Galina Nikolayevna Boyarishcheva (born in 1961) that Mr Boyarishchev, her husband, had died

The applicants’ son died on 3 September 2016.

On 6 September 2004 the applicant’s daughter, Mrs Aleksandra Janicka, informed the Court’s Registry that the applicant had died.

On 27 March 1998 W.S. was again taken to hospital where he died of a heart attack the next day.

  When he applied to the Van Province Gendarme Headquarters, he was told orally that his father had died of a heart attack.

    The Court notes at the outset that the applicant died while the application was pending before the Court.

Her second child died of pneumonia two months later. 8.

Mrs Maria-Alexandra Sterian died on 23 April 2007. However, her son and only heir, Mr Bogdan-Andrei Sterian, expressed the wish to pursue the application.

He died on 7 November 2015, after having lodged this application with the Court on 5 August 2015. He is represented before the Court by Mr Š.   Vilčinskas, a lawyer practising in Vilnius.
