His cell was situated near a kennel and the inmates had to listen to dogs barking twenty-four hours a day and were unable to sleep. They were allowed to take a shower once a week.

During 3   August 2000, the Council returned their possessions, including a washing machine, drier, microwave, gas bottles, kettle and clothing.
