The Court notes further that it has written to the applicants’ solicitors about this matter on no fewer than seven occasions from 28 March 2001 onwards.

    The Court also reiterates that it is against the letter and spirit of the Convention if the same matter is simultaneously submitted to two international institutions.

The obtaining of such information is rather a matter which calls into play the Contracting State’s responsibility under Article 8 to secure the right to respect for private life in due form.
